Green tea to stay fit and healthy

Green Tea:Green tea is made from non fermented leaves that is bitter in flavor and slightly pale in color.The leaves undergo minimal oxidation during this process.Many varieties of green tea is available all over the world and they differ from each other due to growing conditions.It is originated from china but later it had spread the whole world.


Preparation of green tea:Boil water in a vessel and add teaspoon of green tea leaves and boil for 3-4 minutes.now strain the water with a sieve and add a spoon of honey,
lemon extract for a good green tea.

Benefits:

  • Regulates body sugar levels:Drinking green tea regulates polyphenols and polysaccaride which helps in lowering the blood sugar levels.levels. Polyphenol named epigallocatechin inhibits the production of glucose by reducing levels o sugar in the body.
  • Helps in weight loss:Green tea stimulates nervous system which  helps in burning of fats.It helps in burning the calories by increasing metabolism rate.Exercise daily for better results.
  • Helps to slow aging of skin:The skin shows signs of aging like wrinkles and line due to menopause and dehydration.To combat this drink green tea daily which helps in production of collagen.
  • It keeps heart healthy:Green tea lowers the bad cholesterol and prevents arteries blockage.Drinking green tea daily will keep your body free from strokes.
  • Fights with cancer:Green tea contains anti oxidants which prevents the risk caused by free radicals before damaging the body.
  • Anti bacterial effect:The streptococcus bacteria present in mouth is inhibited by the effect of green tea and also helps in fighting with various bacteria present in mouth.

  • For eyes compress:Place green tea in a refrigerator and dip cotton bals and place on the eyes.Relax for 20 minutes and also you can take chilled green tea bag.
  • For sunburn:Presence of theobromine,tannic acid and polyphenol helps the skin from sun damage.Dip a cloth in chilled green tea and apply on sun burnt areas.
  • For face:Take one spoon full of green tea leaves powder and mix it with honey.Apply this paste all over your face an dry it for 15 minutes.Rinse it with warm waater.
Side effects:
  • Intake of excess green tea during pregnancy leads to miscarriage.
  • Due to presence of caffeine,it increases the heart beat rate while suffering with any heart problems.
  • Taking green tea in high amounts leads to blood clotting in diabetic patients.
  • The most common side effect is worseing diarrhoea and bowel syndrome.
  • Green tea increases the pressure of the blood when taken high doses in people suffering with b.p
  • Excess intake of green tea leads to osteoporosis by flushing the calcium from the body through urine.
  • It also play an important role in sleeping disorders,anxiety when taken excess.
  • It leads to iron deficiency.People suffering from anemia should not consume green tea in large amounts.
